Agarwood essential oil has a very long history of use as a medicine, incense and aphrodisiac.
In the Bible it is known as aloes wood. Agarwood trees produce a dark aromatic resin in response to a fungal infection.

This is known in Indonesia as ‘gaharu.’ This is distilled and produces viscous, amber brown oil with a deep woody, musky fragrance. Wild agarwood trees are a critically endangered species mainly due to high demand for the oil and the rare circumstances in which it is created.

The Agarwood essential oil that we sell is from plantation trees so it may not have the quality of the oil produced by wild trees but neither does it carry the high price in both economic and environmental terms. Agarwood essential oil has soothing, stimulating and energizing properties.
Our aromatherapy essential oil blends are mixtures of 100% pure Indonesian essential oils that have compatible properties so that they combine to create synergy, a collective effect that transcends the potential of any one of the component oils acting alone.

New additions for 2012 are designed to capture the spirit and feeling of being in Bali, our home island. They include "mood" blends, Harmony, Compassion and Mystique and two heavenly floral concoctions, Jasmine Bliss and Rose Bliss.
